Twenty young people from our Ardwick (Coverdale and Brunswick) community enjoyed a wonderfully creative and fun-filled day at
Chetham's School of Music
as part of the Make Some Noise project with talented songwriter Liam Frost.
Each participant took part in song-writing, music production, and recording, and had the chance to jam with a variety of instruments. They built their confidence by collaborating to write and record
original songs, which they then shared with the wider group.
The children created an impressive range of music — including songs about caring for the environment and celebrating the importance of kindness.
Thank you to
Wood Street Mission
for making this happen for our young people, who thoroughly had an amazing time!
Our children had an exciting experience over the summer, thanks to Wood
Street Mission,
who provided tickets for our children, accompanied by M13's dedicated staff team, to enjoy a day at
BeWILDerwood Cheshire
park.
M13 children appreciated the coach journey from Ardwick to Cheshire, getting on the sky maze, the twiggle house, the wobbly wire, the slopes, trails, engaging with their staff team, and simply being
in nature with some newfound friends from their local community. It was truly an unforgettable experience. Thank you for creating great memories for children.
M13 Youth Project celebrated 30 years of amazing detached youth work in Manchester. We celebrated this milestone with young people, friends and colleagues (old and new!). There were fun activities for children and young people, a photographic display of M13 throughout the years (many people who came spotted themselves in the pictures!), a time of sharing stories and, of course, lots of food!
Thank you, our friends and partners who came and helped us celebrate. It was a fantastic occasion of great joy and wonderful memories.
Last summer was a fantastic time for our Ardwick community- Coverdale, Grove Village, and Brunswick. Thanks to funding from
Manchester City Council,
for Holiday and Food (HAF) programme and Parktastic which brought excitement and enrichment to both children and parents alike.
The HAF programme and our other summer programmes funded by our other partners offered a wide range of engaging activities—from animal handling and cooking sessions to play sessions, trips, crafting,
barbecue, outdoor sports, and more. Parents were delighted to see their children building friendships, developing new skills, and engaging in positive, holistic experiences within the
community.
