When we first ran our summer activities in 2013 many were staffed by local young people who were regular attenders of M13. They undertook training, ready to
volunteer their time to support and work with local younger children throughout the school holidays and beyond. They worked alongside CRB checked and qualified M13 staff to deliver activities to
younger local children, who loved having the chance to make friendships with older young people from the area.
We had young men and women volunteering their time to run:
the holiday club
the sports and games activities
the girls' drop-in
The volunteering project was funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
Many of those who volunteered in 2013 are still volunteering with the project now!
