Corridor Manchester facilitates learning of the UK Team
Steve Grant, Assistant Director of Human Resources at the University of Manchester, seconded to Corridor Manchester, attended training on Friday to meet the team and donate over £1,000 worth of digital camera equipment to the players, given by Corridor Manchester.
Steve was keen for the Corridor to enable the team to create a long-term legacy of learning through their trip. He came up with the idea of giving the team digital cameras so they can take photos of their time in Durban and make short video diaries whilst away. On their return they will use these pictures and their videos to share their experiences of South Africa with their peers and others back in Manchester and to create a permanent record of their experiences and learning.
Steve has been a big fan and supporter of the UK Team for the Street Child World Cup project since we anounced the project in November, recognising the amazing opportunity this presents to young people and the community of Ardwick. The University of Manchester have also generously supported this project through providing training facilities at the impressive University Sugden Sports Centre at no cost to the project.
