M13 create conversations, activities
and environments with young people, that foster enjoyment,
learning, action
and transformation which make for well-being within young
people, ourselves
and the
communities in which we all live.
M13’s Vision
M13’s vision is that all young people in
Ardwick and
Longsight live life to the full and make a positive contribution to
their
community.
We have a vision where every young person in
Ardwick and
Longsight knows they are loved and valued, lives in health and safety,
with
respect, faith, hope and love for themselves and others, achieving their
full
potential and positively contributing to and transforming their
communities.
We have a
wider vision where
young people choose to take
responsibility for and work to transform their communities, to
stand up
for justice and equality and oppose inequality and oppressionyoung people have their own,
inspiring and hopeful visions for their lives, communities and
neighbourhoods, which make for human well-beingyoung
people can recognise the
love God has for them, their communities and others and can
recognise how
He is at work in their livesyoung people’s voices are
listened to and are significant agents for change, locally and nationally and which shape
M13’s vision through dialogueyoung people are dignified,
valued, respected and listened to by the community and wider
society and
support and respect is reciprocated across age, ethnicity, gender,
ability, sexual and religious diversityM13
neighbourhoods are places
where young people feel secure and happy, where they want to spend
their
time, where they can find fulfilling and dignifying recreation,
education
and work and where they can grow, develop and thriveM13 communities have the
capacity to love, care for, enjoy and meet the needs of all their
young
peopleM13 Youth Project has
sufficient financial, human and material resources to sustain and
continue
to fulfill its aims for as long as the project is needed.
